Show notes

Introduction

I'm currently running my Positive Thinking make along and you can join in too if you'd like. All you need are 100g of your main colour and 10 x 20g mini skeins (all on a 4ply yarn base) and you can make anything you want. The make along will close at the end of August. I'm running it through my Mighty Networks group - if you'd like to join in then send me an email and I will give you the link.

From 1st July I will also be running a continuous make along for anyone using my yarn. Again this will be run through the Mighty Networks group as it's the most accessible for everyone.

I will be having a shop update on 24th June at 7pm - if you'd like to hear more about what's going into the shop, please subscribe to my newsletter (link is above)

Lastly my 2022 Advent Calendar is available to pre-order on the website now. The instalment option will close at the end of June and you can find full details here: https://www.hennypennymakes.co.uk/product-page/2022-advent-calendar-preorder

FOs and WIPs

Rainbow socks

When making my stripey socks using my hand dyed mini skeins, I use an afterthought heel - there are lots of tutorials available online but this is a good one to follow - https://www.louisetilbrookdesigns.net...

Blanket making

I have started two new blankets - one is a garter stitch blanket using the 2021 Advent Calendar from Giddy Yarns and the second is a granny square blanket using Squiddle village minis from Lay Family Yarn. For both I am holding the yarn double and combining them with undyed yarn.

Shawl making

I am working on the Positive Thinking shawl by Lisa Ross using one of my rainbow bundles and some undyed yarn. I highly recommend Lisa's patterns - they are always fun to work on without being overly complicated. You can find her website here:https://www.paperdaisycreations.com

I have also completed a squishy DK shawl using some of my DK mini skeins - it's my own pattern and I will be writing it up and releasing sets for it in the next shop update (24th June).

Gnomes

I also mentioned two gnomes and that I'd like to begin/continue working on them over the next wee while. They are both designed by Sarah Schira of Imagined Landscapes - again I can highly recommend her patterns - and all the patterns are available on her website - https://www.imaginedlandscapes.com/de...

Gnathan is from Gnot Just Another Gnome

Mystery gnome is Gnocchi from Make Gnome Mistake

As always if you want to ask me anything, send me an email and I'll try my best to help you. I'd love to know what you're making just now, what colours you're in love with and what else you're up to.
