Shipping and returns policy

Shipping Policy

Our ready to ship items will be dispatched within six working days, unless they are ordered alongside dyed to order items, in which case they'll ship within four weeks as is standard for all our dyed to order yarns.  This does not include advent calendars which will not ship until late October/early November and should be ordered separately.  All orders will receive a dispatch notice once they are posted.

At HennyPennyMakes, we use Royal Mail to send all our parcels within the UK and internationally - from experience, we've found they have the best service and value for money.  If you are ordering within the UK, you have the choice to select Insured or Uninsured shipping at the checkout.  If you choose the Insured option, your order will be posted with Royal Mail's Tracked 48 hour service (it will need to be signed for when delivered) and the value of the order will be insured in case of loss/damage in transit. If you choose the Uninsured option, your order will be sent with Royal Mail's Second class service and the value of the order will not be covered in the event of loss/damage during transit.

If you are ordering from outside of the UK, please be aware that buyers are responsible for any import taxes and customs that may be due and we are also not responsible for any delays due to customs.  All international orders are sent using Royal Mail's International Tracked service.

Royal Mail's policy states that parcels are not considered missing until 15 working days (3 weeks) have passed for UK parcels and 21 working days (4 weeks) for international parcels - please wait until this period has passed before contacting me.

If you are ordering from the EU, we are fully GPSR compliant and you can find details of our product safety in the information section of the website.  At the moment, we can only ship our hand dyed yarns to the EU so if you order via a VPN and bypass our settings which then allows you to order non-yarn items, these will not be dispatched and will be refunded.  

If you are ordering from the USA, please be aware that you will be charged an additional 10% tariff charge on all items as well as postage so that we can pre-pay the duties due to Royal Mail, otherwise your orders will not be able to be sent to you.  If you use a VPN and bypass this setting, allowing you to order without paying this charge, you will then be invoiced for the additional 10% and must pay before your order can be sent.

 

Returns Policy

We are happy to accept returns of ready to ship items  - please contact us within 14 days of delivery and ship items back to us within 30 days of delivery.  Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.  If the item isn't returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.  I don't accept cancellations but please contact me if you have a problem with your order.  Due to the nature of dyed to order and custom orders, I am unable to accept returns for these.
